Sometimes known as 'The African-American Angelina Jolie' actress and former fashion model K.D. Aubert was born Karen Denise Aubert on December 6, 1978, in Shreveport, La. K.D. attended San Diego State University, where she played softball for the Aztecs. She began her career when she was discovered working behind a make-up counter at Macy's and began modeling for Escada, Noxzema, AT&T as well as for Victoria's Secret and Fredrick's of Hollywood. She also is known as one of the original spokes models for the Coca Cola soft drink Fanta, known as the 'Fantanas.' Her film career began with her role as a harlot in the movie 'The Scorpion King,' and this led to major roles in the films 'Friday after Next,' 'Frankenfish' and 'Soul Plane.' K. D. also co-hosted the MTV show 'Kidnapped,' and stared in the Fabolous & P. Diddy video 'Trade It All Part II.'
