Nikia began singing and performing at the age of 3 and comes from a rich musical background having Ronnie, Robert and Charlie Wilson of the famed Gap Band as her uncles. These influences have shaped her into the artist she is today. Nikia continues the musical legacy with her debut CD EP Open Book which is an R&B blend of attitude, powerful vocals and tight production. The 4 song EP starts with the sassy up-tempo single Picture This, which could be speculated to be the next urban anthem with a catchy chant for a hook. Picture This along with Give Me a Sign also from the Open Book EP, are a unique combination of exotic sounds and intricate rhythms rarely heard in R&B. The EP is topped off with ?Hard to Believe? a beautiful ballad which illustrates Nikia?s commanding vocals.
